Doodling on the plane, maybe her pose comes from me being squished up in my chair.
AlItalia had a 2 hour delay. Made the door to door about 16 hours from Rome to NY, but it did not seem to onerous. A little sketching, a little sleeping, a little cramped.
A Roman copy, in marble, of a Greek bronze. At the Borghese Galleries in the Borghese Gardens. An amazing place although they only let you stay 2 hours at a pop. Bastards.
Done from the roof of St. Agnes in Agone where we were staying.
Later on the train
Sitting at bar Proseco waiting for my train to Rome.
Just the arches this time, not the altar itself.
I have nothing smart to say about the Frari, but it is a hell of a place.
The Biennale is great people watching of course
I love this spot. A lot of the Biennale takes place in Venice's Arsenale . I was unable to scam a pass this day, but I did spend some time sketching just outside the gate in the rain.
I like this drawing, but it is totally unfair to Ben who is actually a good looking guy and not some scary gargoyle like this image. It may have come out like this because I was hot and cranky and cramped on our train trip to Venice.
